As if I didn't love Janelle Monáe enough as it is because of her total commitment to retro androgyny, this video for Tightrope just sends me over the edge. This song has been on repeat on my iPod for a good two weeks, and I love the escapist/mental institution/jazz vibe this video explores. On a more sartorial note, I am super jealous of her impeccable high waisted cropped pants and perfect blazer.
